Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an RF DVT Engineer to join the silicon design team for characterization, optimization, and validation of millimeter wave RF-Digital SoCs used in phased array systems.

You will develop RF DVT test scripts in Python, set up test benches, and generate design/verification reports while collaborating with RF Systems and RFIC design engineers. This role requires strong RF knowledge and hands-on lab experience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience with RF measurement equipment (power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Knowledge of OFDMA, TDMA, and CDMA.
• Knowledge of end-to-end wireless network architecture from physical layer to application endpoints.
• Experience in communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, digital/wireless systems or RF engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute RF DVT test scripts in Python for characterizing/optimizing RFICs.
• Debug RFICs to optimize radio performance.
• Setup RF test benches for conducted/radiated measurements in the Lab.
• Generate RF design/verification/test reports with RF Systems engineers and integration teams.

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and under-served communities around the world.

Key job responsibilities

As a RF DVT Engineer, you will be a part of silicon design team and be responsible for the characterization, optimization and validation of millimeter wave RF-Digital SoCs to be used in state-of-the art phased array systems. You will work with RFIC circuit designers and system integration engineers to perform RF bench testing, debugging, and characterizing for optimum RF Wireless SoC performance. You will be specifying procedures, assembling and calibrating microwave/RF test setups as well as automating data collection in an engineering lab environment. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

A day in the life

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

• Knowledge of multiple access systems including OFDMA, TDMA, and CDMA
• Knowledge of end-to-end network system architecture from wireless physical layer to application endpoints
• Experience in communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems or RF engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
• Wireless communications systems and implementation experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
