Job summary

Dover Corporation's Microwave Products Group (MPG) in Salisbury, MD designs microwave filters to customer specifications and evaluates RFQs, with potential travel to overseas sites such as the Dominican Republic. The role supports manufacturing and fabricates prototypes while coordinating with sales, digital and applications engineers.

Requires a BS in electrical engineering with RF/Microwave focus or 8 years of design experience in RF/Microwave filters across two topologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with RF/Microwave focus or 8 years RF/Microwave filter design in two topologies.
• Ability to apply calculus, algebra and statistics; strong organization and communication.
• English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design microwave filters to meet customer specifications.
• Evaluate RFQs; interface with sales feasibility and pricing.
• Participate in onsite customer visits and occasional overseas travel.
• Analyze filter response with RF design software; resolve production issues.
• Provide sketches, BOMs, and coordinates with digital and applications engineers.
• Check prints, oversee prototyping, and read customer drawings/specs.
• Research and develop special projects for customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Designs microwave filters that meet customer specifications. Evaluates RFQs: interfaces with sales feasibility and pricing, complete analysis of package and outlines strategy for completion. Participates in onsite visits and product discussions with customers, which may include travel to an oversea facility in Dominican Republic. Evaluates orders: new, similar, repeat or modification. Analysis of Filter Response using RF Design Simulation Software. Supports manufacturing areas in resolving engineering related production issues. Assigns appropriate personnel to process mechanical designs. Provides sketches, parts lists, critical dimensions, coordinates with digital engineer and applications engineer. Checks for accuracy of prints and BOM. Oversees prototyping of filters. Provides support in answering inquiries. Reads and interprets drawings and customer specifications. Research and develop special projects for customers.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with primary focus in RF/Microwave technologies or 8 years design experience of RF/Microwave filters in at least two topologies. Ability to comprehend and apply principles of calculus, algebra and statistical theory. Must possess good organizational skills and communication skills. Working knowledge of reading drawings, blueprints and schematics. Language skills to include English and Spanish would be preferred.

Pay Range: USD 85000 - 120000 Annually This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
