Job summary

Leidos Space Platforms is seeking an RF Communications Engineer to support lunar terrain vehicle programs. The role focuses on subsystem integration, qualification, and testing of RF communications hardware, collaborating with multi-discipline teams to translate concepts into verifiable requirements.

Candidates should have an ABET-accredited degree, 5+ years of related experience, and hands-on experience with RF tools (HFSS, CST, ADS).

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 3+ years.
• PhD candidates encouraged; degree substitution allowed.
• Experience designing RF links with space-based transceivers, antennas, amplifiers.
• Hands-on RF simulation with HFSS, CST, ADS.
• Experience in EMC testing and end-to-end system verification.
• Willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL; US Citizenship for clearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop subsystem integration, qualification, and testing of RF communications hardware.
• Translate high-level product strategies into system requirement specifications.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to develop detailed requirements.
• Travel as necessary (approximately 10–20%).
