Job summary

Zipline is seeking a leader for RF avionics in South San Francisco. You will own RF communications across 802.11, cellular, ADS-B, and GNSS, coordinating with GNC, Aero and Perception. You will design radios, amplifiers, filters and antennas, validate RF systems, and drive regulatory certification.

In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high performance, low mass, and high reliability in a fast‑paced environment. Onsite work at Zipline’s SSF office is required.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of RF engineering experience.
• Experience developing electronics for critical systems (aerospace, automotive, medical).
• Ability to work in the US and in Zipline’s South San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF hardware and software design for Zipline’s avionics system.
• Develop RF systems including link budgets and interference analysis.
• Define and trade vehicle RF architecture across teams.
• Design radios, amplifiers, filters and antennas to meet RF requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory and industry certification for domestic and international markets.
