Benchmark in Winona, MN is seeking a dedicated technician to perform both detail and routine repair operations on assemblies, routing them to the next operation. The role supports quality and requires adherence to procedures in a modern manufacturing environment.

The position is safety-sensitive, with possible overtime and a requirement to rotate between rework and line positions. Shift 2, M-Th 15:50-01:35, full time, on-site.

Competenze

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Hand solder certification required.
  • PCBA rework/repair certification checklist required or achievable.
  • General production procedures training required.
  • PCBA inspection certification (excluding AXI/AVI) preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematics and routings.

Mansioni

  • Performs both detail and routine repair operations on assemblies.
  • Routes assemblies to the next operation based on production guidelines.
  • Locates and collects parts by cross-referencing part numbers in the system.
  • Performs repairs on boards per procedure; routes to next operation.
  • On-line rework/repair duties as necessary; hand soldering and inspection of rework/repairs.
  • Enter board quantities into the system for rework operations; maintain records.
  • Maintain rework/repair bank part quantities; track parts usages.
  • Work with solder pot to remove/replace damaged components; perform de-solder operations.
  • Obtain correct paperwork and drawings with valid effective dates; follow safety and ESD practices.
  • Complete WebMR parts requisition for needed rework parts; use defect code lists.

Summary

Responsible for performing both details and routine repair operations on assemblies and routes the assemblies to the next operation.

Responsibilities
  • Determines which product takes priority based on the defined production guidelines
  • Locates and collects parts and materials for current job assignment by cross referencing part number in system
  • Performs repairs on boards per procedure and route boards to next operation
  • Performs on-line rework/repair duties as necessary
  • Performs hand solder operations on assemblies and inspects rework/repairs
  • Enters board quantities into automated computer system for on line rework/repair operations
  • Performs record keeping and paperwork associated with job assignments
  • Performs labor data entries into the appropriate tracking system
  • Works with the solder pot to remove and replace damaged components
  • Performs de-solder operations as needed on assemblies
  • Obtains the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each assembly and verify the paperwork has the correct effective date
  • Completes WebMR parts requisition for needed rework parts
  • References Defect Code List to identify defects
  • Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision
  • Maintains a clean work area and follow all safety and ESD practices
  • All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.
  • Processes System Integration work through SubHold
  • Utilizes x-ray machine to examine Ball Grid Array’s (BGA’s)
  • Locates and collect parts and materials for current job assignment and actively maintain rework/repair bank part quantities
Other Information
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Hand solder certification required
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions
  • Ability to successfully complete PCBA Rework/Repair Certification Checklist
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience preferred
  • Ability to successfully complete General Production Procedures Training
  • Ability to successfully complete PCBA Inspection Certification (except AXI/AVI)
  • Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings and manufacturing routings
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation Range: $17.83 to $23.74 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
