Job summary

IPG in the United States is seeking a fabric rewinder/operator to support manufacturing lines. You will thread machines, rewind rolls, and prepare products to meet quality and quantity requirements.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior machine-operator experience, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role requires standing for long periods, attention to safety, and a commitment to producing

Responsibilities

• Rewind large rolls by threading up the machine and meeting requested lengths.
• Wrap and identify finished rolls and palletize when required.
• Tag rolls for identification.
• Address rolls on hold and remove flaws by splicing if needed.
• Conduct quality checks on material as required.
• Clean up area and maintain a tidy machine workspace.
• Bundle and bale scrap material.
• Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.

POSITION SUMMARY

Takes a roll of fabric and rewinds it to remove a problem or break it down into smaller rolls to meet customer quality or quantity requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Rewind large rolls by threading up the machine and running rolls to customers desired lengths.
• Wrap and identify finished rolls of fabric and bundle or palletize if required.
• Tag rolls for identification
• Rewind rolls on hold by threading up and running roll to the area of flaw, remove flaw by splicing it if required.
• Conduct quality checks on material as required.
• Clean up, sweep area around the machine including the main aisle.
• Bundle and bail scrap material.
• Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience as a machine operator preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Team player
