Pape-Dawson Engineers in Dallas, TX is seeking a Technician II to provide intermediate drafting and design support across civil disciplines. You will prepare, revise, and coordinate construction documents and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit, under limited supervision.

This role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to company standards, QA/QC, and collaboration with engineers and project managers. Weekdays 8:00 a.m.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or certificate in CAD drafting/design, applied science, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing civil, transportation, structural, utility, or aviation construction documents using CAD software.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit; software requirements may vary by assignment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and project priorities.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and travel occasionally if required.
• Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and revise construction plans, profiles, cross-sections, details, and exhibits using CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).
• Develop construction documents from engineer markups, sketches, notes, and redlines with increasing independence.
• Apply CAD drafting standards for consistent layers, line styles, symbols, and sheet layouts.
• Incorporate QA/QC procedures and agency checklists to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review your own work for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Assist engineers with preparation of technical documentation, exhibits, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to support objectives and schedules.
• Maintain organized project files for team collaboration and information accessibility.
• Develop construction documents for underground utilities, paving, grading, drainage, erosion control, and small facility sites.
• Interpret sketches, notes, and redlines from engineers with increasing independence

Overview

The Technician II provides intermediate-level drafting and design support for engineering projects across multiple disciplines. This role works with limited supervision to prepare, revise, and coordinate construction documents, exhibits, and technical graphics in compliance with company standards and applicable agency requirements. The Technician II demonstrates increasing independence, technical proficiency, and the ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, Applied Science, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing civil, transportation, structural, utility, or aviation construction documents using CAD software.
• Proficiency in discipline-appropriate CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) software requirements may vary by assignment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and project priorities.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle and travel occasionally, if required by assignment.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
