Great Basin College (GBC) is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking Controller to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Operations (VPFO), the Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, accountability, and strategic stewardship of the College’s resources. This position provides leadership and oversight for GBC’s financial operations, including Accounting, Disbursements, Student Accounts, Travel, Cashiering, Budgeting, Grant Financial Management, and related business services. The Controller serves as a trusted advisor to senior administration, supports institutional decision‑making, and fosters a culture of compliance, accuracy, and service excellence.

This position is eligible for remote work within the State of Nevada. The incumbent is expected to maintain regular engagement with Great Basin College leadership and staff and must be available to work on the Elko campus approximately one week per month. Occasional travel to statewide or national meetings is required. The position involves managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, professional environment.

This is a 12 month “A” contract, 12 month contracts are used for year round programs. The budgeted salary range for this position is $86,445 - $125,000. Salary is based on relatable education and experience, internal equity and budgets.
