Job summary

Rate is seeking a Reverse Mortgage Loan Officer to grow a personal book of business within a flexible, commission-driven framework. You will solicit, originate and negotiate reverse mortgage loans, leveraging Rate’s marketing tools and technology to connect with clients and drive growth.

What You’ll Do:
  • General Duties. You shall solicit, originate and negotiate residential mortgage loans on behalf of Company’s borrowers and perform such related duties as are customary in the mortgage loan origination business or as may be required by Company from time to time.
  • Outside Sales Activity. As a salesperson, your primary duty shall be making sales related to selling the Company’s products and services, and that you shall be customarily and regularly engaged in these sales activities outside the Company’s Place of Business and in activities directly related to these sales (“Outside Sales”). You shall devote at least the minimum amount of time necessary engaged in Outside Sales and activities directly related to these sales, to adhere to the applicable exemption for salespersons in the state that you work. For California employees, you shall devote substantially more than fifty percent (50%) of your working time each workweek performing sales activities related to Outside Sales.
  • Proactively Build Business: Actively seek out and engage new clients through self-generated leads, referrals, and community outreach.
  • Sell with Care: Use your expertise in reverse mortgage products, including FHA HECMs and proprietary solutions, to guide clients to the best options for their needs.
  • Foster Relationships: Establish and grow lasting partnerships with financial advisors, real estate agents, and community organizations.
  • Own the Client Journey: Lead clients through the reverse mortgage process with transparency, professionalism, and a focus on their unique needs.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends and product innovations to provide clients with the best possible solutions.
