Job description

Where passion meets opportunity

The best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail!

Your Purpose

The Manager of Revenue Management is responsible for leading the end-to-end commercial strategy for assigned sailings and markets, driving optimal occupancy, pricing, and revenue performance. This role combines deep functional expertise with forward‑looking strategic thinking, translating market data and competitive intelligence into actionable initiatives. The Manager serves as a key decision‑maker and cross‑functional partner, guiding a team of analysts while owning category‑level revenue outcomes and contributing meaningfully to long‑range planning.

Your Impact
  • Own end-to-end revenue management for assigned ships, seasons, and/or markets – from pre‑launch pricing strategy through final sailing optimization.
  • Develop and execute pricing and inventory strategies to maximize net revenue, balancing occupancy targets with yield objectives across all cabin categories.
  • Lead strategic planning for new deployments and itinerary changes, establishing initial pricing frameworks, promotional calendars, and inventory release strategies.
  • Synthesize booking performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence into forward‑looking strategy recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Identify revenue risks and opportunities across the sailing portfolio early and escalate with clear, recommended corrective actions.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Revenue Management Analysts and Senior Analysts, providing guidance on pricing builds, analytical methodologies, and business judgment.
  • Review and approve pricing and promotional recommendations before escalation to the Corporate Revenue Management team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Serve as the primary Revenue Management liaison to Marketing, Sales, Contact Center, and Finance teams, ensuring commercial alignment on promotions, campaigns, and financial targets.
  • Partner with the Corporate Revenue Management team in Geneva and Naples to align local market strategies with global brand directives.
  • Present performance updates, strategic recommendations, and market analyses at weekly Business Review meetings and leadership forums.
  • Represent Revenue Management perspectives with senior leadership, articulating trade‑offs, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process for assigned sailings, building revenue and passenger volume models with well‑supported, defensible assumptions. Responsible to drive final targets, trade‑offs and sign‑offs.
  • Monitor performance‑to‑budget continuously and deliver variance commentary with corrective action plans to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting infrastructure, pricing workflows, and analytical tools to increase team efficiency and decision quality.
  • Oversee QA processes for promotional builds, ensuring pricing accuracy and consistency across all booking channels.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive pricing dynamics, and consumer demand signals to inform commercial strategy.
Your Journey so far
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA or related) a plus. Preferred fields: Business, Economics, Finance, or quantitative disciplines.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, Commercial Strategy, or related functions; cruise or travel/hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sailings end‑to‑end – from deployment planning and initial pricing through in‑window optimization and close‑in strategy.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data, and craft compelling recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring analysts; formal people management experience a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including DAX, complex modeling, and large‑scale data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with cruise or travel booking systems; experience with SAP Business Objects and/or SQL a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership with authority and clarity.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a portfolio of sailings and competing priorities simultaneously.
