Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in healthcare administration with 3+ years in healthcare billing.
• CPT coding and 3rd party billing knowledge is required.
• Analytical and strong communication skills for appeals and inquiries.
• Organizational and time-management abilities with multi-priority handling.
• Collaborative across departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Proficiency with Excel for data tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Billing & claims management: submit accurate claims and maximize reimbursement.
• Denial prevention & resolution: analyze trends, document rationale for reconsideration.
• Compliance & documentation: HIPAA and payer regulations adherence.
• Patient financial engagement: explain balances and discuss payment options.
• Collaboration & training: partner with Access/Patient Services to improve accuracy.
• Continuous improvement: identify workflow efficiencies and participate in redesigns.
• Customer service: maintain professional, empathetic interactions with patients.
