Job summary

Waystar is seeking a Revenue Integrity Review Specialist to conduct high-quality medical record reviews for our customers, applying advanced CDI and coding knowledge to identify opportunities while ensuring compliance. The role emphasizes accuracy, productivity, and adherence to official guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have BSN or equivalent credentials with 3-5 years in inpatient coding/CDI and familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS and MS-DRG methodologies.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent healthcare credentials.
• 3-5 years inpatient coding/CDI/revenue integrity experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG assignment, clinical validation.
• Productivity, quality, and accuracy standards in high-volume review environment.

Responsibilities

• Medical Record Review and Analysis to identify Coding, CDI, Quality and revenue integrity opportunities.
• Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRG methodology, CDI principles, and clinical validation concepts to evaluate documentation and codes.
• Develop compliant physician queries when clarification is needed.
• Ensure findings are accurate, compliant, and aligned with guidelines and customer standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding, CDI, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory changes.
• Deliver high-quality review results meeting customer expectations.
