Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist I to support the reimbursement process in a hospital setting. You will file claims, follow up on payments, and ensure AR totals stay on target with contracted terms.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, handle inquiries, and help patients and insurers understand billing details. Strong communication and basic coding knowledge are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• One year of revenue cycle experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding systems.
• Coding Certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to answer inquiries and questions.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide information with professional customer service.
• Provide day-to-day support in hospital and clinic billing operations.
• Maintain knowledge of billing regulations and claim submission processes.
• Post payments and follow up on payer denials or incomplete reimbursements.
• Coordinate with clinical and coding teams to ensure accurate charges.
