Job summary

Sarnova is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Program Manager, RCM to drive cross-functional programs across Billing Services. You will plan, execute, and report on high-impact initiatives, partnering with leadership to deliver measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate will combine revenue cycle expertise with disciplined program management, strong analytics, and stakeholder influence across remote teams, with time-zone coordination and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years in revenue cycle management, healthcare operations, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of program or project management experience leading cross-functional, multi-site initiatives
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle: billing, coding, claims, denials, collections, payer requirements
• Project management certification (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); experience with PM and BI tools preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across executive levels

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic programs and projects that drive efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement across Billing Services
• Partner with COO and Billing Services leadership to translate priorities into structured programs with scope and milestones
• Build and maintain program roadmaps, plans, status reports, risk logs, and exec dashboards
• Establish governance with partners and internal stakeholders and conduct business reviews
• Analyze workflows and staffing to identify automation and process improvements across revenue cycle
• Develop business cases and ROI models to support leadership decisions
• Ensure programs are resourced and delivered on time; collaborate with IT, Compliance, Finance, HR
• Define SOPs, workflow docs, and training materials for new or transitioned processes
• Track benefits post-implementation and report results to leadership
• Lead change management and cross-team adoption of new processes
• Support acquisitions and new service lines with onboarding activities
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and remove barriers to execution
• Manage goals and practices in a remote environment

Summary:

The Strategic Initiatives Program Manager, RCM leads strategic, cross-functional programs that drive operational efficiency across Billing Services in direct support of the Billing Services leadership team. This role owns the planning, execution, and reporting of high-impact initiatives spanning all revenue cycle functions and operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong revenue cycle knowledge with disciplined program management, data-driven analysis, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic programs and projects that drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement across Billing Services
• Partner with the COO and Billing Services leadership team to translate strategic priorities into structured programs with clear scope, milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes
• Build and maintain program roadmaps, project plans, status reporting, risk and issue logs, and executive-level dashboards
• Establish governance routines with partners and internal stakeholders, including recurring business reviews, performance scorecards, and corrective action plans
• Analyze workflows, staffing models, and productivity data to identify automation, standardization, and process improvement opportunities across the revenue cycle
• Develop business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and return on investment models to support leadership decision-making on strategic initiatives
• Partner with Operations, Development, IT/Product, Compliance, Finance, HR, and Training to ensure programs are resourced, sequenced, and delivered on time
• Ensure all processes meet federal, state, and payer regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, PHI handling, and data security standards
• Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow documentation, and training materials required to support new or transitioned processes
• Track realized benefits post-implementation and report results, risks, and course corrections to leadership
• Lead change management and communication plans to drive adoption of new processes across teams
• Support integration and onboarding activities related to acquisitions, new clients, and new service lines as assigned
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, drive accountability for action items, and remove barriers to program execution
• Ability to independently manage all aspects of the job role including required goals and business practices in a remote environment

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare operations, or a related field preferred
• 3+ years of program or project management experience leading cross-functional, multi-site initiatives
• Strong knowledge of the end-to-end revenue cycle, including billing, coding, claims, denials, collections, and payer requirements
• Demonstrated experience building business cases, performance scorecards, and executive-level reporting
• Project management certification (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferred

• Ability to work across time zones to support operational teams and periodic travel as required
