Job summary

Grand Traverse Radiologists, an independent radiology group in Traverse City, Michigan, seeks a Revenue Cycle Manager to own and improve revenue cycle performance. This on-site role partners with a third-party billing partner and reports to the Revenue Cycle Director.

You will analyze A/R, denials, and reimbursements, build leadership dashboards, and drive root-cause investigations to improve financial visibility and accountability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience across billing, A/R, denials, reimbursement, or payer processes.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to analyze revenue cycle data, identify trends and root causes, and move issues through resolution.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, reporting, and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance, including A/R aging, collections, denials, reimbursement, underpayments, and payer performance.
• Build reports and dashboards that give leadership visibility into performance and trends.
• Investigate billing and reimbursement issues, identify root causes, and coordinate follow-through with billing partners, payers, hospital systems, and internal leadership.
• Manage payer and provider enrollment, revalidations, CAQH attestations, deadlines, and provider records.
• Conduct operational reviews and audits related to billing, reimbursement, denials, adjustments, refunds, and payment activity.
• Strengthen revenue cycle workflows, reporting, documentation, and internal controls.

Job description

We’re looking for a Revenue Cycle Manager who wants to understand what’s behind the numbers, not just report them. This is a role for someone who likes uncovering issues, asking the next question, and turning what they find into action.

Established in 1938, Grand Traverse Radiologists (GTR) is an independent, physician-owned radiology group serving Munson Healthcare across Northern Michigan.

Reporting to the Revenue Cycle Director, this is a hands-on management role with no direct reports, working closely with our third-party billing partner. Success means catching issues earlier, strengthening accountability, and giving leadership better visibility into revenue cycle performance.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance, including A/R aging, collections, denials, reimbursement, underpayments, and payer performance

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience across billing, A/R, denials, reimbursement, or payer processes
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
• Ability to analyze revenue cycle data, identify trends and root causes, and move issues through resolution
• Strong Microsoft Excel, reporting, and data analysis skills

Experience with third-party billing partners, payer enrollment/CAQH, professional physician or radiology billing, and working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers is a plus.
