Job summary

Seeq is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue & Commissions to support accurate revenue accounting operations in a SaaS environment. You will focus on revenue recognition, commissions, and month-end close while contributing to financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support.

You will utilize Sage Intacct and Salesforce data to ensure accurate and timely records, review contracts, and prepare audit-ready workpapers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting and month-end close.
• Experience with US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support schedules.
• Experience reviewing SaaS contracts and CRM data (Salesforce) for revenue processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue recognition activities during the month end close, including reviewing contracts and service periods.
• Work in Sage Intacct’s Contracts module and maintain revenue-related records.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review monthly commission files, validate calculations and accounting treatment.
• Investigate variances and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to obtain complete information.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and respond to audit requests.
• Support close activities and maintain an efficient close calendar.
• Partner with Revenue Operations to evaluate transaction data for accounting implications.
