Jack Link's is seeking a Revenue Growth Management Intern for the summer of 2027 in downtown Minneapolis, MN. You will work with the Director & Trade Strategy to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive gross revenue, net revenue, and operating income.

Use syndicated data and internal metrics to evaluate trade rates and slotting, review promotional plans, and build tools to track budgets and improve efficiency.

  • Identify trade spending best practices and share across the Retail Sales team.
  • Create and deploy tools to track trade budgets and efficiency.
  • Assist on MAPS initiatives including annual planning, core void identification and closure, and new item launches budgets.

Job Description

Join Jack Link's as a Revenue Growth Management Intern during the summer of 2027in downtown Minneapolis, MN! As an intern on our sales team, you will be responsible for working with the Director & Trade Strategy in developing and executing the strategic sales business plan to realize improved gross revenue, net revenue, and operating income. Work with Field Sales to identify and implement profit positive business growth opportunities.

Utilize syndicated data and internal metrics (revenue, spend, ROI) to evaluate and select customer-specific trade rates and slotting approvals with minimal risks.

  • Review customer promotional spending plans in MEI for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with guidelines and budgets.
  • Identify specific examples of trade spending effectiveness best practices and share across the Retail Sales team.
  • Create and deploy tools to track trade spending budgets, while identifying areas to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist the Director on all major MAPS initiatives (annual planning, core void identification and closure, new item launches budget reconciliation, and customer specific growth projects
    • Partner with Sales & Marketing to develop customer sell-in stories and new tools that enhance the Sales Teams efficiency.
    • Assist in the development of the strategic sales and trade plans. Conduct pre- and post-promotional analysis for key accounts and across channel archetypes.
    • Develop promo event-level guidelines.
    • Work with Sales to develop ROI-informed promotional calendars/plans.
    • Maintain promo effectiveness scorecards.
    • Develop quarterly promo effectiveness reviews.
    • Run analytics to understand effectiveness of trade terms (e.g., incremental margin or growth per dollar invested in a given account) and make recommended changes.
    • Partner with Trade Strategy team to develop, implement, and manage trade spend architecture by channel.
Qualifications
  • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing / Business Admin and completed at least one year of coursework.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with strong ability to multi-task.
  • Highly detailed with strong organizational and operating skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power Bi.
  • Communications skills- writing and communication skills, and be able to interact and persuade individuals levels senior to him or her, as well as actively participate in meetings and group discussions with individuals from various parts of the organization (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Finance)
Additional Information

The hiring range for this role is $20 to $22 per hour for a Bachelor's degree candidate and $27 per hour for a Master's degree candidate. Actual wages will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience.

However, the vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office. Travel may be required.
