Job summary

The Office of Community Care (OCC) within the Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Supervisory Accountant (Revenue Accounting Manager) to oversee CPAC revenue operations and lead a team of accounting staff in Las Vegas.

You will develop and enforce accounting controls, participate as a RAWG member to shape national policy, and ensure accurate financial reporting across Revenue Accounting, Cash Management and Veterans Services programs.

Responsibilities

• Establishes oversight mechanisms and provides supervisory and managerial leadership for CPAC fiscal functions.
• Serves as a voting member of the Revenue Accounting Workgroup (RAWG) to develop national policy and procedure for CPAC program users.
• Manages local and national process improvement to improve revenue program operating effectiveness through studies and pilots.
• Provides expert advice on interpretation of accounting regulations and impact of new legislation or programs.
• Oversees end-to-end ownership of accounting, reporting and financial analysis activities.
• Leads cash management, EFT processing, daily deposits, refunds, and claims matching; directs three program segments: Revenue Accounting, Cash Management and Veterans Services.
