Job summary

CoStar Group in Arlington, VA is seeking a hands-on Manager of Revenue Accounting to lead revenue recognition, close processes, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Product. The role emphasizes GAAP, ASC 606, and scalable processes to support growth in a high‑growth, global organization.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in revenue accounting, a Big 4 background, and strong leadership with the ability to manage complex transactions and provide strategic insights

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant revenue accounting experience including Big 4/public accounting background.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience mentoring and leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, FP&A and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and ensure timely reporting.
• Review customer contracts for proper revenue treatment and policy adherence.
• Enhance and automate revenue accounting processes and reporting, including close processes.
• Partner with external auditors to support revenue-related audits.
• Lead and develop the revenue accounting team and liaise with senior leadership on key issues.
