Job summary

Checkr is seeking a senior revenue accounting professional to shape how deals are structured and new revenue models are brought to market. Based in Denver or San Francisco, you’ll own ASC 606 compliance, lead the revenue close, and partner with Sales, Legal, RevOps, and FP&A to influence scalable policy and growth.

You’ll design AI-enabled tools to automate quote-to-cash tasks, draft technical memos, ensure SOX controls, and lead strategic initiatives that scale with Checkr’s expansion.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience (Big 4 plus industry preferred).
• Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 with contract review experience.
• Experience owning revenue close activities with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/BI and AI-enabled tooling is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• CPA strongly preferred; proactive, action‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own technical revenue accounting under ASC 606 and advise on complex structures.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end revenue close processes and reporting.
• Provide strategic accounting guidance with Sales, Legal, RevOps, and FP&A.
• Design and ship AI-enabled tools to automate quote-to-cash tasks.
• Draft technical memos and maintain SOX-ready controls and documentation.
• Drive high-impact revenue initiatives to enable compliant growth.
