Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Reston, VA team. You will serve as a key technical accounting resource within Revenue Accounting, partnering with leadership to review customer contracts for ASC 606 compliance and to strengthen internal controls.

This role focuses on scaling the Revenue Accounting function and delivering accurate revenue reporting. You will lead complex revenue judgments, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with FP&A, Billing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience with ASC 606 exposure.
• Experience in a public company is preferred.
• Hands-on contract review and drafting technical memos on ASC 606.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day revenue recognition process in ASC 606, GAAP, and internal controls.
• Draft technical accounting memos and position papers for complex revenue issues.
• Support SOX 404(b) compliance and internal controls.
• Partner with Billing Operations, FP&A, and IT to optimize revenue outcomes and reporting.
