Job summary

HID is seeking a Revenue Accountant in Salt Lake City to support invoicing, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue. You will contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reporting, perform journal entries and reconciliations, and assist with audits while upholding IFRS and US GAAP standards.

The role requires strong ownership, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, plus excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of accounting/finance experience.
• Experience in accounting, finance, or customer support.
• Strong follow-up, tracking, and attention to detail in multi-priority work.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; comfort with web apps & PDFs.
• Experience with revenue accounting and deferred revenue preferred.
• Experience with AI tools is preferred; willing to learn AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate customer invoices per contract terms and billing schedules.
• Maintain accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances.
• Track deferred revenue and related schedules and reconciliations.
• Record cash transactions and reconcile cash accounts.
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting under IFRS/US GAAP.
• Handle journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses and audits.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.
• Coordinate with Avalara on sales tax returns and data.
