Job summary

Macmillan is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform advanced general warehouse duties, operate machinery, process returns, and use the Warehouse Management System to track inventory by ISBN and tote number.

You will verify items, shrink-wrap, prepare shipments, and keep bin locations organized while following safety guidelines. The role requires attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, safety rules, and memos. Ability to write legibly and effectively communicate one-on-one.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills and the ability to learn WMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced general warehouse duties including operating machinery and processing returns.
• Process returned merchandise using WMS, locate by tote/ISBN, and adjust for damaged books.
• Shrink-wrap and stage shipments, and maintain neat bin locations.
• Assist with cycle counts and mark damaged books for correcting.
• Use rolling equipment (forklift) to move stock and transfer between locations.
