Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Indianapolis is seeking an entry-level Retread Technician. No prior experience is required, and we will train you in the skills needed to extend tire life in our retread plants.

In this role you will participate in the retread process by inspecting tires, buffing casings, repairing, building, curing, and performing final inspections to ensure a safe, high-quality retread tire for customers. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread.
• Remove embedded objects and repair the tire casing.
• Repair the casing before applying new tread using rubber cement or patches.
• Build the tire by applying new tread.
• Cure the tire to set the retread.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.
