Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Retire­ment Benefits Specialist to support members of various trade unions. You will calculate benefit payments, process applications, and explain benefits with accurate estimates.

The role includes regular calls and meetings with participants to ensure clear understanding of pension plans. Ideal candidates have customer service experience and a background in retirement benefits or Taft-Hartley Funds, with proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Proficient in customer service and familiar with retirement benefits processes.
• Experience with Taft-Hartley Funds preferred.
• Knowledge of retirement plan provisions and benefit calculations encouraged.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare retirement benefit payment amounts.
• Process retirement benefit applications.
• Explain retirement benefits and provide benefit estimates to participants.
• Handle high volume participant calls related to Pension Plans.
• Meet with participants to answer questions and coordinate with Fund Professionals.
• Interpret and administer retirement benefits per Plan Documents.
• Draft and mail correspondence to participants and beneficiaries.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Description

Our Retirement Benefit Specialists play an important role in providing retirement benefits to hardworking people in various trade unions. Whether it be a person planning on retiring or an individual that has been retired for some time, our specialists ensure that they receive the assistance and benefits that they have worked so hard for!

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a compensation of $28.80 per hour.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Calculate and prepare retirement benefit payment amounts
• Process retirement benefit applications
• Explain retirement benefits to participants and provide participants with benefit estimates
• Answer high volume of incoming participant calls relating to the Pension Plans
• Regularly meet with participants to answer questions related to their retirement benefits, and communicate with other Fund Professionals as needed
• Interpret and administer retirement benefits as outlined in Plan Documents
• Draft and mail correspondence to participants and beneficiaries regarding retirement benefits
• Other duties and projects as assigned
