Job summary

Discover Vision Centers in Kansas City area is seeking a Retina Technician to join our eye care team. You will support retina specialists, perform basic patient workups, document in EMR, and help with imaging and diagnostic tests.

The role emphasizes accuracy, empathy, and teamwork in a fast-paced specialty clinic. Experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not required; COA/COT certification is a plus and we provide ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• COA or COT certification preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered if otherwise qualified.
• Strong computer and EMR skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient workups including medical history and vision assessment.
• Accurately scribe for physicians and maintain documentation in EMR systems.
• Conduct diagnostic testing such as OCT, visual fields, lensometry, and angiography.
• Assist retina-specific procedures including intravitreal injections, lasers, and minor in-office procedures.
• Support physicians and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service.

Requirements
