Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Retina Surgeon to join the LVPG-L Ophthalmology - Fogelsville team. You will deliver high-volume retina care with surgical and clinical responsibilities in a well-equipped practice.

The role requires fellowship training in retina, board eligibility/certification, and an active or eligible PA medical license. Expect collaboration with ophthalmology staff and ongoing patient-centered care in a busy, campus setting.

Qualifications

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified with American Board of Ophthalmology.
• A valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required.
• Reasonable call expectation.
• Fellowship trained in Retina.

Responsibilities

• Provide retina clinical and surgical care to patients.
• Perform retina procedures including intravitreal injections and vitreoretinal surgeries.
• Collaborate with Ophthalmology team and other clinicians.
• Utilize equipment and facilities for retina services at Fogelsville facility.

In a Retina Surgical Specialist career, you’ll experience

• Work with a team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians, and Certified Ophthalmic Assistants

• Well established high-volume practice with strong referral network
• Includes clinical and surgical care of patients with retina diseases (Intravitreal injections, Vitreoretinal surgeries, ROP - Retinopathy of Prematurity Service)
• The office is equipped with full-scale equipment required to see patients of all ages. For a candidate interested in retina, the office is equipped with Cirrus OCT with Angio, Wide field Zeiss fundus camera, and Argon laser. There is a full-service optical shop that includes contact lens services. The office has a dedicated Medspa room offering limited aesthetic services. Surgeries are performed at ASC (no ownership stake) and in the hospital when general anesthesia is needed.
