Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Reticle Equipment Engineer within the Photolithography organization. You will sustain and improve reticle-related equipment performance in a high-volume wafer fab, collaborating with process, manufacturing, IT, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement.

You will install and qualify new reticle equipment, perform maintenance, and work with vendors to keep equipment metrics high while supporting AI-driven optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Equipment Owner with Reticle/Photo Equipment.
• BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Installation and qualification of reticle equipment in a new cleanroom.
• Reticle equipment sustainment including maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with process engineers to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Use project management to close hardware gaps and milestones.
• Establish vendor relations to maintain equipment metrics.
• Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance strategies.

The Photolithography (Photo) organization supports high-volume semiconductor manufacturing at Micron's Boise facility, enabling advanced memory solutions through detailed reticle and lithography processes. The team partners closely with manufacturing, automation, IT, and quality organizations to ensure operational excellence and drive continuous innovation in fab performance. As a Reticle Equipment Engineer within the Photolithography (Photo) organization, you will be responsible for sustaining and improving reticle-related equipment performance in a high-volume manufacturing (HVM) wafer fabrication environment. You will play a key role in ensuring reticle quality, tool availability, and process stability to enable world-class fab operations! This position requires close collaboration with Photo process teams, Manufacturing, AMHS/Automation, IT, and Global Quality to drive continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence, including the use of advanced data analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Installation and qualification of industry leading reticle equipment in our new cleanroom
• Reticle equipment sustainment, including maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation
• Collaborate with process engineers to identify and resolve equipment-related issues affecting production
• Use project management skills to complete project milestones that close hardware gaps around equipment deficiencies
• Establish productive vendor relations to maintain supplier engagement, driving best in class equipment metrics
• Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance strategies

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience working as Equipment Owner with Reticle/Photo Equipment
• BS or Masters in the Engineering field, equivalent military experience or AAS with 5+yr industry experience
• Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding and training purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve engineering efficiency and workflows
