Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Retention Specialist (Part-Time) to join our team in Missouri. You will support participants with meeting employer expectations, provide training to improve performance, and help maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.

The role requires a high school diploma and social services experience; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Driver's license and insurance are required, with First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help participants meet employer expectations with work performance.
• Provide training to improve participant work performance after employer training period.
• Troubleshoot to create accommodations or other ways to address performance issues.
• Support participants to develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Complete and submit agency documentation in a timely manner (weekly progress notes, hourly billing).
• Maintain participant files per agency requirements.
• Use participant site time to complete necessary documentation, aiming to keep 80% of hours billable.
• Know community resources to support participant needs (transport, medical, childcare, utilities).
• Make referrals, advocate, and follow up.
• Keep confidentiality per agency guidelines and ethical standards.
• Complete training hours annually as funded.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Offer benefits for full-time employees and other per-employee policies.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists participants with meeting employer expectations with work performance.
• Provide training to improve participant's work performance after employer's training period has ended.
• Problem solves to create accommodations or other ways to address performance issues.
• Support participants to develop and maintain natural support and positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Completes and submits agency documentation in a timely manner such as weekly progress notes and hourly billing.
• Maintains participant file in accordance with agency requirements.
• Utilizes time at participant's the work site to complete necessary documentation, when possible, maintains a minimum of 80% of hours worked in billable time.
• Maintains knowledge of community resources that can be utilized to support participant needs (i.e., transportation, medical, childcare, utilities, etc.)
• Makes referrals, advocates, and follows up.
• Maintains confidentiality according to agency guidelines, follows ethical guidelines.
• Completes training hours annually based on funded requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Immediate date of hire individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
• Individual and family dental and vision benefits on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours week.
• Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
