• Perform minor touch-ups, repairs, and repackaging for customer readiness.
• Ensure inventory accuracy via cycle counts and digital scanning updates.
• Wrap and load customer purchases into guest vehicles with professional service.
• Verify scheduled orders for home delivery routes to ensure delivery accuracy.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and backroom storage area.
• Complete and file required warehouse documentation and safety checklists.

About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Retail Warehouse Associate in Smyrna, TN. In this fulfillment position, you will receive furniture shipments, assemble products, organize warehouse bays, and provide friendly customer pickup support.

• Safely receive, unload, store, move, and stage furniture throughout the retail fulfillment warehouse.
• Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and dollies.
• Inspect, prepare, and assemble merchandise to verify that all pieces meet Ashley's high standards of quality.
• Perform minor furniture touch-ups, repairs, and repackaging to ensure merchandise is customer-ready prior to delivery.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and digital inventory scanning updates.
• Carefully wrap and load customer purchases into guest vehicles with friendly, professional customer service.
• Stage and verify scheduled orders for home delivery route drivers to ensure complete delivery accuracy.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and backroom storage facility.
• Accurately complete and file required warehouse documentation, receiving manifests, and safety checklists.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Physical capability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull furniture weighing up to 100 lbs throughout shifts.
• Prior experience with warehouse operations, forklift operation, or furniture assembly preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Diligent focus on inventory accuracy, inspecting product condition, and proper documentation.
• Friendly and professional attitude when assisting retail shoppers during order pickup.
• Commitment to strict warehouse safety standards, equipment inspections, and maintaining a hazard-free work area.
