Acosta Group is seeking a Retail Training Specialist in Birmingham, AL to deliver training programs for field merchandisers, ensuring consistent merchandising standards, product knowledge, and brand representation across territory.

The role includes hands-on coaching, both on-site and virtual sessions, travel up to 75 miles, and collaboration with field managers to identify training needs and improve performance and store results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Prior retail experience and/or retail training experience preferred.
• Proficient in operating a smartphone and apps, sending/receiving emails, texts, and using E-learning platforms.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be available for occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive training programs for field merchandisers, including manuals, presentations, and visual aids.
• Travel up to 75 miles within the assigned territory.
• Conduct on-site and virtual training to educate merchandisers on standards, product features, and promotional campaigns.
• Coach field merchandisers on product placement, signage, and display techniques to maximize impact.
• Provide hands-on coaching during store visits to reinforce training concepts and address performance gaps.
• Collaborate with field managers to identify training needs and prioritize skill development.
• Monitor training effectiveness through metrics, observations, and feedback.
• Update training materials based on product changes and industry trends.
• Support new product launches and store resets with timely training sessions and resources.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on merchandising best practices and competitor activities.
• Foster a positive learning environment and culture of continuous improvement.
