Job summary

Border Bank is seeking a Retail Training Manager to design and deliver onboarding, transition, and ongoing training for our retail teams across multiple locations in the region, including Minnesota and surrounding states.

You will partner with Retail, Deposit Operations, Loan Operations, Risk, and other departments to ensure employees have the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to provide exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in related field required.
• Minimum of three years of banking experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year of training, coaching, employee development, or instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, coordinate, and deliver onboarding, transition, and ongoing training programs for retail staff.
• Create and maintain retail learning resources, job aids, procedures, and reference materials.
• Partner with departments to create and maintain retail processes and support resources.
• Serve as a primary resource for branch staff on policies, procedures, and operational processes.
• Identify learning needs related to bank products, services, initiatives, and changes.
• Monitor training effectiveness and suggest improvements to knowledge, performance, engagement, and retention.
• Research and apply adult learning best practices and training delivery methods.
• Leverage learning technologies and platforms to deliver content effectively.
• Act as SME on retail systems, guiding users and assisting with troubleshooting and optimization.
• Represent Retail on project teams focused on customer/employee experience and branch efficiency.
