Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks, including customer service, product handling, and store operations. You will interact with customers and contribute to a high standard of service, often going above and beyond standard duties.

The role involves supporting departments across the store, performing cart duties, cleaning, trash collection, and basic task coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside store areas.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for snow removal.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
