Job summary

GWC Connects is seeking a Retail Supervisor at our Columbus, OH location to lead a team of Retail Associates, deliver outstanding customer and donor experiences, and drive daily store operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will coach and develop staff, monitor sales floor activity, manage donation processing and merchandising, ensure cash handling and safety compliance, and open/close the store when leadership is absent. This role emphasizes service, teamwork, and achievement of sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of retail experience required.
• Previous supervisory, leadership, or keyholder experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Comfortable using POS systems, basic computer applications, and cash-handling procedures.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Retail Associates during daily operations.
• Deliver outstanding customer and donor service and help resolve concerns.
• Monitor sales floor activity, donation processing, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, cash-handling procedures, and safety standards.
• Help prevent loss, protect company assets, and report operational concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Open and close the store and oversee operations in the absence of store leadership.
• Support achievement of sales, production, and customer service goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
