Job summary

Gap is seeking an Assistant Manager in Massachusetts to set the tone for the store and team, driving profitable sales through operations, merchandising, and talent development. You will collaborate with leadership to coach Leads and Brand Associates to deliver a best-in-class experience for customers.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail management, strong communication, and flexibility to work holidays, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willing to work flexible schedule including holidays/evenings/weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric approach.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and understand the retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni‑channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensure all compliance standards are met.
