POP MART Americas Inc. in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Store Manager to lead every aspect of the business, deliver a premium retail experience, develop a high-performing team, and drive operational excellence.

You will own store performance, visual presentation, inventory control, and daily operations while championing POP MART's creativity, brand, and exclusive products. The role reports to the District/Area Manager and requires a passion for collectibles and guest service.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of retail management leading high-volume stores.
  • Proven success managing sales performance and operational execution.
  • Experience leading teams of 10+ employees, coaching and developing leaders.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs and the ability to use metrics to drive performance.
  • Experience executing visual merchandising standards and marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Appreciation of designer toys, collectibles, art, pop culture, or lifestyle brands is highly valued.
  • Experience collaborating with international or cross-functional teams is a plus.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team and store associates.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-first culture that reflects POP MART's values and brand.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and development conversations to grow future leaders.
  • Create clear expectations, recognize achievements, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Build succession plans and develop internal talent for future growth opportunities.
  • Own the overall financial performance of the store, including sales, payroll, expenses, profitability, and operational execution.
  • Drive KPIs, including Sales Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Average Transaction Value, Payroll productivity, Inventory accuracy, Customer satisfaction.
  • Lead execution of product launches, limited-edition releases, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create an engaging customer experience and champion POP MART's brand.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and build long-term loyalty.
  • Maintain daily store operations with excellence across all functions.
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll, cash handling, inventory control, shipments, replenishment, and stockroom organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized store reflecting premium brand standards.
  • Execute visual merchandising strategies and seasonal floor sets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement merchandising initiatives and store updates.
  • Represent POP MART in the local community and grow brand engagement.

Opportunity Overview:

You'll inspire your team to deliver exceptional results while bringing the excitement of POP MART's collectible characters, artists, and exclusive products to life. This position reports directly to the District/Area Manager.

What you will achieve:
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team and store associates.

  • Own the overall financial performance of the store, including sales, payroll, expenses, profitability, and operational execution.
  • Drive key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Sales Conversion, Units Per Transaction (UPT), Average Transaction Value (ATV), Payroll productivity, Inventory accuracy, Customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze business trends and develop action plans to achieve or exceed performance goals.
  • Lead execution of product launches, limited-edition releases, and promotional campaigns.
Customer Experience
  • Champion an exceptional customer experience by creating an engaging, welcoming, and memorable shopping environment.
  • Ensure every team member delivers knowledgeable product recommendations and meaningful customer interactions.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting POP MART's artists, characters, collectibles, and unique retail experience.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while building long-term customer loyalty.
Store Operations
  • Maintain full ownership of daily store operations, ensuring excellence in execution across all functional areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and loss prevention practices.
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll management, cash handling, inventory control, shipment processing, replenishment, and stockroom organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment that reflects POP MART's premium brand standards.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Execution
  • Execute visual merchandising strategies, marketing campaigns, promotional displays, and seasonal floor sets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new merchandising initiatives and store updates.
  • Ensure visual presentation consistently supports business objectives while delivering an engaging shopping experience.
Brand & Community
  • Support in-store events, pop-up activations, conventions, new store openings, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with Robo Shop teams and business partners to support operational excellence where applicable.
  • Represent POP MART within the local community while helping grow brand awareness and customer engagement.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and move merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, stoop, reach, climb ladders or step stools, and perform overhead work.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as receiving shipments, stocking merchandise, building displays, and organizing inventory.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockrooms and receiving areas.
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate standard stockroom equipment and tools.
  • Ability to multitask and respond effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Pay Range Details

The base salary range for this position is $66,000-$76,000 annually. This range is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws and may vary based on geographic location. Individual compensation will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's incentive compensation program.
