POP MART is seeking a Store Manager for our Brea, CA location. You will lead all aspects of store operations, drive exceptional customer experiences, and develop a high-performing team aligned with POP MART’s creative brand.

You will own business performance, visual presentation, and inventory control while fostering a culture of energy, inclusivity, and customer-first service through coaching and development of your team.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of retail management leading high-volume, customer-focused stores.

  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business/Retail preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, coach, and retain a high-performing leadership team and store associates.
  • Foster a positive, customer-first culture reflecting POP MART's values.
  • Conduct coaching, performance reviews, and development conversations.
  • Own store financial performance including sales, payroll, expenses, and profitability.
  • Drive KPIs: Sales, Conversion, UPT, ATV, payroll productivity, inventory accuracy.
  • Lead product launches, promotions, and visual merchandising updates.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and brand ambassador activities.
  • Oversee daily operations, scheduling, payroll, cash handling, and inventory control.
  • Maintain store visuals reflecting POP MART's premium standards.

You'll own business performance, talent development, visual presentation, inventory management, and daily operations while ensuring every customer enjoys a premium retail experience. You'll inspire your team to deliver exceptional results while bringing the excitement of POP MART's collectible characters, artists, and exclusive products to life. This position reports directly to the District/Area Manager.

What you will achieve
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Recruit, hire, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team and store associates.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-first culture that reflects POP MART's values and brand.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and development conversations to grow future leaders.
  • Create clear expectations, recognize achievements, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Build succession plans and develop internal talent for future growth opportunities.
Business & Sales Performance
  • Own the overall financial performance of the store, including sales, payroll, expenses, profitability, and operational execution.
  • Drive key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
    • Sales
    • Conversion
    • Units Per Transaction (UPT)
    • Average Transaction Value (ATV)
    • Payroll productivity
    • Inventory accuracy
    • Customer satisfaction
  • Analyze business trends and develop action plans to achieve or exceed performance goals.
  • Lead execution of product launches, limited-edition releases, and promotional campaigns.
Customer Experience
  • Champion an exceptional customer experience by creating an engaging, welcoming, and memorable shopping environment.
  • Ensure every team member delivers knowledgeable product recommendations and meaningful customer interactions.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting POP MART's artists, characters, collectibles, and unique retail experience.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while building long-term customer loyalty.
Store Operations
  • Maintain full ownership of daily store operations, ensuring excellence in execution across all functional areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, safety standards, and loss prevention practices.
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll management, cash handling, inventory control, shipment processing, replenishment, and stockroom organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment that reflects POP MART's premium brand standards.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Execution
  • Execute visual merchandising strategies, marketing campaigns, promotional displays, and seasonal floor sets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new merchandising initiatives and store updates.
  • Ensure visual presentation consistently supports business objectives while delivering an engaging shopping experience.
Brand & Community
  • Support in-store events, pop‑up activations, conventions, new store openings, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with Robo Shop teams and business partners to support operational excellence where applicable.
  • Represent POP MART within the local community while helping grow brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed to support new store openings, business meetings, training, or company initiatives, including occasional collaboration with international teams outside of standard business hours.
What you will need
  • 3+ years of retail management experience leading high-volume, customer-focused retail stores.
  • Proven success managing sales performance, operational execution, and team development.
  • Experience leading teams of 10 or more employees, including coaching and developing leaders.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs and the ability to use business metrics to drive performance.
  • Experience executing visual merchandising standards and marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving retail environment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Appreciation of designer toys, collectibles, art, pop culture, or lifestyle brands is highly valued.
  • Experience collaborating with international or cross‑functional teams is a plus.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and move merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, stoop, reach, climb ladders or step stools, and perform overhead work.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as receiving shipments, stocking merchandise, building displays, and organizing inventory.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockrooms and receiving areas.
  • Manual dexterity to safely operate standard stockroom equipment and tools.
  • Ability to multitask and respond effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Pay Range Details

The base salary range for this position is $70,304-$80,304 annually. This range is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws and may vary based on geographic location. Individual compensation will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's incentive compensation program.
