Belstra Farm and Garden is seeking a reliable, customer-service oriented individual to help run storefront operations. The role involves cash handling, stocking, plant care, and assisting customers with product questions in a fast-paced garden center environment.

Responsibilities include operating the register, maintaining shelves, and ensuring quality, safety, and accuracy across store and warehouse tasks, with weekend and seasonal hours as needed.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge in farm or garden products preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to learn about product lines (feed, garden).
• Ability to work weekends and increased seasonal hours.
• Strong communication skills.

Description

Belstra Farm and Garden is an independent retail store specializing in farm products and garden supplies. We are currently looking for an outgoing, customer service-oriented person who can help run the storefront operations. This opportunity is for a reliable and highly motivated individual. This person must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Run cash register and sales transactions
• Stock shelves and monitor inventory
• Willingness to learn about product/feed lines
• Willingness to ask and answer customer questions
• General housekeeping of store and common area
• Capable of completing tasks correctly while focusing on quality, service, and safety
• Caring for plants, flowers, and trees in the greenhouse setting
• Watering plants and providing other forms of basic maintenance such as pruning, fertilizing or weeding
• Rotate and replenish floor stock
• Load customer feed
• Inventory Control in warehouse

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance
• Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, etc.
• Work with variety of products and materials including feeds, seeds, plants, vegetables and landscape supplies
• Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required

• Forklift Certification
