Job summary

Safeway in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Retail Sales and Store Support team member to keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You help customers locate items, answer questions, and maintain a welcoming environment across departments.

You’ll stock shelves, rotate products, update pricing or signage, and maintain backroom organization. You’ll assist with inventory and work across departments in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing retail or hospitality environments is a plus.
• Ability to stock, price, and rotate merchandise accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with store layouts, pricing, and product placement across departments.
• Comfort operating equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters after proper training.
• Strong math and communication skills; ability to read and follow instructions in English.
