Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking a Retail Stocking Team Supervisor to lead the back of house and support store management.

You will oversee receiving, unloading, sorting, and moving merchandise to the floor, while maintaining clean, organized back rooms and promoting safe, compliant operations. This full-time role requires at least one year of supervisory experience, strong people skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in off-price, big box, or a specialty retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal, positive and engaging attitude.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandise progression: receiving deliveries, unloading and sorting cartons, processing merchandise, and flowing goods to the sales floor.
• Ensure back of house cleanliness, setup and organization are at standard.
• Reinforce Asset Protection strategies to prevent shortages.
• Promote safety for customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
• Coach associates and direct workload; participate in weekly workload planning meetings.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new associates.
• Drive community relations participation through company programs and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience within an off-price, big box, or a specialty environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude
• Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required
• Ability to move/handle/lift store merchandise weighing 40 lbs. or more, as well as the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
