Retail Service Specialist

Support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. Take on shift management responsibilities when the Assistant or Store Manager is absent.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendlily, issuing refunds accurately with the correct payment methods, and properly processing or staging returned merchandise in the returns area.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks to be completed as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, with changes or deviations approved by a member of management, and that clocking in/out follows company policy.
• Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night‑security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles in designated areas.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities

Required:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Desired:

• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
