Job summary

Chedraui USA in Banning, CA is seeking a Service Clerk to support customers and keep the store tidy. Starting rate is $16.90 per hour, with duties including cart handling, assisting customers, price checks, stock replenishment, and maintaining clean entrances.

The position requires basic English reading/writing skills, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and good interpersonal communication. This is a hands-on, customer-facing retail role at the 2971 W. Ramsey St location.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and price codes.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently 45 pounds, occasionally 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize shopping carts in the store and retrieve from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelf for check stand personnel.
• Pull merchandise from the check stand and return it to the proper shelf; walk aisles and return misplaced items to their proper location.
• Monitor cleanliness of store entrance, sweep front area, mop walkways, and keep entrance/exit doors clean.
• Maintain store cleanliness throughout the day, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, and restocking as needed.
