Job summary

Charter Communications, doing business as Spectrum, is hiring a Retail Sales Specialist to promote and sell our portfolio of products and services at our store locations. You’ll drive sales while delivering exceptional customer care and ensuring a welcoming, well-organized shopping environment.

The role offers base pay between $18.00 and $25.00 per hour with additional commission earnings starting at $14,819, and opportunities within a comprehensive pay and benefits package.

Working Conditions

• This role requires a flexible schedule, regular attendance, physical demands (lifting up to 35 lbs., prolonged standing) and adherence to Spectrum's dress code in a moderately noisy retail environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
• High comfort level with personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms and proficiency in computer applications.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks and handle change effectively.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Strong performance in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication with employees and customers in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Highly effective interpersonal skills for building partnerships across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the latest technology and devices.
• 1-5 years of sales/customer service experience.

The base pay for this position generally is between $18.00 and $25.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.

In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $14,819.
