Job summary

Best Buy in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Retail Sales Specialist for our appliances department. You will engage with customers, understand needs, demonstrate products, and make confident recommendations to help customers choose the right kitchen and laundry appliances.

You’ll receive training to become an expert on product specs and benefits while delivering friendly, hands-on service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or customer service.
• Experience selling premium products or luxury brands is preferred.
• CRM experience or familiarity with customer relationship management tools.

As a Retail Sales Specialist in our appliances department, you’ll engage with customers to learn their needs, provide excellent service, perform product demos and make helpful recommendations. We’ll provide the training you need to become an expert on kitchen and laundry appliances, including specifications, features and benefits.

What you’ll do

• Engage with customers in the appliances department to support the customer experience, complete transactions, drive profitable growth and achieve sales goals
• Stay informed about the latest technology trends and products through continuous learning and professional development
• Handle customer inquiries, complains and returns professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Prioritize activities based on urgency and importance, set realistic deadlines and use tools and techniques to manage time effectively
• Maintain department merchandising and readiness to serve customers
• Train other sales floor personnel on how to be successful in the department
• 1 year of experience building complex solutions in sales, customer service or related fields

Preferred qualifications

• 1 year of experience selling in premium products, luxury brands and/or custom design environments
• 1 year of experience in customer relationship management (CRM)
