Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the first point of contact for customers, stock shelves, and assist with cashier duties. You will help maintain plan-o-grams, restock merchandise, and ensure a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking fixtures, assisting customers in locating merchandise, operating the cash register, and processing transactions with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register and complete transactions accurately and bag merchandise.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness including front end, restrooms, and stockroom.
