Job summary

Bayou Pawn is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate in Houston to greet customers, assist with sales, pawn loans, and product inquiries. You will explain terms, complete paperwork, and ensure a smooth, customer-focused experience.

You can earn 10–14 USD per hour with commission up to 8%. The role supports a busy shop floor, requires strong customer service, and offers employee discounts and potential wage access after day 2.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Comfort handling a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Explain terms and complete paperwork for pawn and short-term loan services.
• Process sales and loan activity accurately and follow guidelines.
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and displays.
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Support store operations and opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Complete required training and follow company policies.
