Job summary

Odyssey Resorts announces a Seasonal Part-Time Retail Associate role at Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort, Deerwood MN. You will model clothing on our social media and go live on Facebook, while delivering warm guest service and driving merchandise sales.

You will assist customers, handle cash, price and display merchandise, restock supplies, and keep the store and areas clean. Requires 18+, background check, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous sales related experience preferred.
• Comfort modeling clothing on social media and going live on Facebook.
• Must pass background check.
• Stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, offer information and advice about store merchandise.
• Receive cash bank at start of shift and verify amounts in the drawer; record sales.
• Unpack inventory and restock sale items as needed.
• Keep work and display areas clean and attractive.
• Check and restock bags, tissue, boxes, and other supplies regularly.
• Maintain clean bathrooms, storerooms, windows and floors; keep displays tidy.
• Gift wrap packages quickly and attractively; foster teamwork and communication.
• All other duties as assigned.

DEPARTMENT : Retail (seasonal)

REPORTS TO: Director of Retail

Summary This is a yearly Part-time position. Must be comfortable modeling clothing on Ruttger\'s Retail social media platforms and be comfortable going live on Facebook media. This person will perform a variety of duties relating to sales of merchandise in the Retail stores as well. Such as meet, greet and help customers. Assist with pricing and displaying of merchandise. Keep store clean and orderly. Interact on a daily basis with guests and resort staff.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE Must be at least 18 year old.

Essential Duties Previous sales related experience preferred.

• Assist customers, offer information and advice when applicable about store merchandise.
• Receives cash bank at start of shift and verifies amount by counting into cash drawer. Record all sales transactions and issues receipts accordingly. Counts all receipts at end of shift and verifies accuracy of all transactions.
• Assists in unpacking of inventory.
• Assist in keeping work and display areas clean and attractive.
• Check and restock sale supplies (bags, tissue paper, boxes, register tape, charge slips, etc.) regularly.
• Keeps bathroom clean and stocked, storerooms organized, dusts and cleans regularly, including windows and floors.
• Ability to gift wrap packages quickly and attractively.
• Foster positive working relationships and communication with all departments.
• All other duties as assigned.
