Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to be the friendly point of contact for customers, stock shelves, build displays, operate the cash register, and help maintain plan-o-grams and store cleanliness.

You will unload trucks, assist shoppers, and follow company procedures in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is preferred, and basic math and cash handling skills are important.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
