Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store team member to serve as the customer contact, stock, and display merchandise while ensuring store assets are protected. The role includes unloading trucks, stocking, cashier duties, and helping with merchandising set‑ups.

You will greet customers, ring up purchases, assist in locating items, and maintain store cleanliness in a fast‑paced environment. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and oral communication abilities.
• Familiarity with safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan‑o‑gram and presentation guidance.
• Basic cash handling knowledge and math skills.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock or move items to sales floor.
• Build and maintain merchandise displays; rotate stock on shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate the cash register, ring up sales, and bag items.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Keep the store front clean and assist with sidewalk displays when required.
