Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack shipments; store or move to floor.
• Build merchandise displays and face merchandise on shelves.
• Rotate and restock; restock recovered items.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register; handle payments and bag items.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean store and assist with sidewalk displays as needed.
• Greet customers and comply with store policies.
